Seller representation for AI data licensing
Data Sell Side helps business owners explore whether their proprietary data could be licensed to an AI buyer. We work on the seller’s side, with the owner’s approval at each stage.
What our service covers
Our proposed process covers preparation, an initial assessment, approaching potential buyers, comparing any offers, and negotiating terms. The scope of an engagement and its fees are agreed in writing before work begins.
Preparation before buyer discussions
Begin with a high-level inventory: what records exist, what they document, how they are stored, and known restrictions. This helps identify questions requiring further review. A business owner’s counsel reviews rights and the final agreement.
Comparing terms, not just a price
A proposed licence needs to specify the data, permitted uses, delivery obligations, duration, exclusivity, payment and any retention or deletion obligations. We help the owner assess proposed terms together. An estimate or engagement does not guarantee an offer.
Who the current screening process is for
Our estimator currently screens for businesses with 30 or more employees and documentation primarily in English. These are our current criteria, not a statement that every buyer has the same requirements. Meeting them does not establish value or buyer demand.
Who you are contacting
You are contacting Data Sell Side, the seller representation business behind this website. Our contact address is info@datasellside.com. We disclose fees before an engagement and seek the owner’s written approval before proceeding with a transaction.
Start a representation conversation
Email a short description of the business, the kinds of records, years covered and known restrictions. Please start with a description rather than raw datasets. We can then discuss whether there is a fit and what would need review.
